About BrainLivantris

Who am I

Who am I?

My name is John (Jeroen) Groot, and I am an orthomolecular therapist, coach, and internationally certified NLP Trainer. Founder of BrainLivantris. In addition, I am trained as an operational Aviation engineer and project manager. Working with people is my passion, and it is also the main motivation behind having my own therapeutic, coaching and training business.

I am personally active in sports (fitness and running), I love to travel, I play music, I am passionate about football, and last but not least, I enjoy developing myself and helping others grow.

Following What Makes You Happy

More than anyone, I know how important it is to create your own happiness in life. You often hear the phrase, “follow your heart.” When I was 17, I wanted to fly and become a pilot. At that time, this was not financially possible, so I chose to study Aviation Studies instead. It was a solid education, but looking back, my heart was not fully in it.

After working in aviation for several years, I decided to pursue coaching programs. I enjoyed this so much that I continued on that path and ultimately found my true passion in life.

Qualifications & Professional Association

Quality care begins long before a session starts. It is shaped by years of study, practice, reflection, and continued professional development. When you choose to work with a therapist, you are placing your trust in their knowledge, experience, and ability to guide you safely and effectively. That responsibility deserves depth, dedication, and ongoing learning.

Over the years, I have invested extensively in my own education and training, not only to expand my expertise, but to ensure that the people I work with receive thoughtful, well-grounded, and integrative support. My background includes training as an orthomolecular therapist, BrainQ therapist, hypnotherapist, NLP coach and NLP trainer, as well as meditation trainer. Each discipline adds a different perspective — from the biochemistry of the body, to the functioning of the brain, to the language of the subconscious mind and the power of awareness and presence.

I am affiliated with Collectief Alternatieve Therapeuten (CAT), the Dutch professional association for complementary therapists — in English often referred to as the Collective of Alternative Therapists. Membership means that my practice meets established criteria regarding training level, medical basic knowledge, ethics, and continuous professional development.

Being part of a recognized professional association is not merely a formality. It reflects a commitment to transparency, quality assurance and responsible practice. It also ensures that there is an independent body overseeing professional standards and offering clients an additional layer of reassurance.

For you as a client, this means that you are working with someone who values professionalism, accountability, and ongoing growth — so that the support you receive is grounded, careful, and aligned with established standards within the field.
